She thought about all the damage one little fly can do, and why it had to exist in the circle of life.
Running her hands down her horses legs in frustration, scraping the eggs onto a piece of tape, she recognized that she was taking for granted the hands that move effortlessly to accomplish the task.
Diligently checking each horse, she thought about the time it was taking from her day and how she only had “10 minutes” before she had to go… She remembered that those 10 minutes she’s spending thanks to this fly, are 10 minutes she gets to spend pouring love and care into beings she deeply appreciates having in her life. Beings who are healthy, and cared for, and nourishing their bodies with alfalfa that some can only dream of having right now.
Her heart started to shift, maybe that little fly isn’t so bad after all.
No, she thought, they still suck, as she watched one buzzing around the field.
A field she always dreamed of having, on a farm she practiced manifesting for six years.
She started to realize that watching this little fly buzzing around her field meant that she had everything she’d hoped she’d have right before her very eyes. Suddenly, she started thinking of bot fly as a blessing to be grateful for.
